Launched in 2008 and followed by another successful cruise in 2010, the expedition serves as an effective outlet to showcase the educational and research capabilities at KAUST, and to enable collaborative research engagements between the University and various local and international institutions.

The third expedition will begin on Thursday September 15 and will end on December 16 (approximately). This expedition will consist of five cruise legs that will separately cater to the sampling needs of over 20 research studies, in addition to providing invaluable practical training experience to students at KAUST.
